A simple 3D crochet heart, perfect for Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, weddings, anniversaries, bridal showers, or any day you want to give a little love to someone special!

Stitched in continuous rounds of single crochet, the parts of this pattern are joined as you go to create one single plush piece with no assembly required.

The 3D design makes it perfect as a gift topper, pin cushion, sachet, ornament, bean bag, stress ball…or attach it to another project to add a little love!

Finished Size

Approximately  2”H x 2”W x 1”D 

Gauge

Gauge for this project is not important; use the hook size you need to make sure the stuffing doesn’t show through your stitches

  • Round (rnd)
  • Magic Ring
  • Single Crochet (SC)
  • Stitch/Stitches (st/sts)
  • Single Crochet Two Together (SC2tog)
Notes
  • This pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Do not slip stitch to join the end of each round. Use a stitch marker or other device to track the start of each round if you find you’re losing your place. 
  • This pattern is crocheted in a no-sew method. Crochet the first part, set it aside, and then crochet into it when instructed to form a larger piece.

Pattern

Part 1

Rnd 1: 6 SC in a magic ring. (6 SC)

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st. (12 SC)

Rnd 3: SC in each st.

Fasten off, leaving a tail to sew the gaps between the joins as instructed below. Set aside. 

Part 2

Rnd 1: 6 SC in a magic ring. (6 SC)

Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st. (12 SC)

Rnd 3: SC in each st.

Do not fasten off. Work around both pieces as indicated in rnd 4 to form one piece.

Main

Rnd 4: SC in first st of Part 1 rnd 3, SC in ea st, SC in first st of Part 2 rnd 3, SC in each st. (24 SC)

Rnd 5-6: SC in each st.

Rnd 7: [SC in next 4 sts, SC2tog] 4 times. (20 SC)

Rnd 8: [SC in next 3 st, SC2tog] 4 times. (16 SC)

Rnd 9: [SC in next 2 st, SC2tog] 4 times. (12 SC)

Start stuffing. Continue stuffing as you go.

Rnd 10: SC in each st.

Rnd 11: SC2tog around. (6 SC)

Fasten off, finish stuffing, and close. 

Finishing

Use tail from Part 1 to close the small gap where the parts were joined.
